Why our sports floodlight?

The René Gaillard stadium in Niort was recently renovated, incorporating new LED low-energy consumption floodlights. Unfortunately, our solution was not selected for this project. However, we learned in March that the installed floodlights experienced a general failure for reasons still unidentified, but likely not due to an electrical surge.

A failure of sports lighting causes a series of complex problems. Whether for sports or cultural events, a failure of the luminaires can jeopardize the site’s certification and, consequently, invalidate its capacity to host events.

In general, we advise clients to keep 3 spare luminaires (1 floodlight per beam) to be able to respond immediately in case of unexpected failure. We also maintain a constant stock in our European logistics platform in Düsseldorf, Germany, to respond as best as possible in extreme emergencies.

However, our sports floodlights guarantee exceptional reliability thanks to their drivers with protection against surges up to 20kV (instead of the usual 10kV with our competitors). By doubling the capacity to withstand electrical shocks, our floodlights are less susceptible to accidental failure.
